Heather is a social activist, entrepreneur and businesswoman. She is passionate about developing people, ideas and making a difference. Her years of experience as a member of the management team that re-established the Hertz Rent a Car brand in South Africa, gives her the ability to implement business related concepts to the NGO environment. As a co-founder of Spirit Sister Productions, Heather’s creative and out of the box skills were used and developed over the 20 years by producing and directing numerous award-winning documentaries and television series which have been sold and broadcast internationally.
She has travelled extensively capturing the stories and memories of Jewish communities around the world and, in particular, those stories related to the Holocaust. In 2012, she self-published The Power Within Companion, an anthology of inspirational stories celebrating South African women who have made a difference politically, economically or through social advocacy. Currently Heather is the Executive Director of the Cape Town Holocaust & Genocide Centre.
