Dr Alex Magaisa teaches law at Kent Law School, University of Kent the UK. He is a graduate of the University of Warwick where he obtained an LLM and a PhD in Law. He has an LLBs (Hons) from the University of Zimbabwe. His work is in public law with specific interests in constitutionalism, the rule of law, and global governance. He has held fellowships at the National Endowment for Democracy in Washington DC and Yale University. Magaisa was a technical expert to the constitution-making team leading to the 2013 Constitution of Zimbabwe. He also served as Chief of Staff and Principal Adviser to Zimbabwe’s former prime minister, Morgan Tsvangirai.
